Dr. Byers has extensive experience with the management
of urologic conditions affecting both men and women. Introduced to the dynamic field of Urology as a medical student
at UCLA, Dr. Byers discovered a passion for the medical and surgical treatment of urologic conditions.
After graduating from the UCLA
School of Medicine, she was selected into the highly competitive post-graduate training program in Urology at Kaiser
Sunset in Los Angeles. In addition to its internationally renowned reputation for excellence in the treatment of bladder
disorders, the hands-on residency training program offered outstanding training in general urology and urologic surgery.
With the explosion of technology occurring at the time, Dr. Byers developed a special affinity for endoscopic (minimally invasive)
surgery. After completing her clinical training in 1997, Dr. Byers obtained Board-certification from the American Board
of Urology. Ten years later, she remains active in the advancement of patient care through proven clinical, pharmaceutical,
and surgical treatments. Dr. Byers also helps direct her patients toward health utilizing safe and effective alternatives
to medications and surgery, such as nutritional counseling and supplements, biofeedback, and neuromodulation.
After many productive and successful
years of private practice in Torrance, California, Dr. Byers has opened a lovely office in Newport Beach. She is a member
of the medical staff at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian, and many local and national medical societies.
